Got soul? Ah you mean it falls apart like Lotii of old.

Just a shame they are so fugly and Jap looking and whilst the interior might be a step up from the Elise/Exige, it's still pretty sh*t compared to any other £30k car on the market, let alone a £60k car.

Mark see if you can drive the Evora back to back with the Exige S3 then make a decesion ,

I did for over 3 hours on the same day (something you have never done K  :)).

I stick by my view that the Exige V6 is a great car but too close to a decent VX to justify, IMO, the amount of investment needed to change. Ride was no better than my VX with Quantums and I doubt the handling is any better than a well sorted VX. However, it has a few more creature comforts and feels more "all together"

As I've previously mentioned, preference is personal (in both car and modifications :P ) & one needs to consider the intended use of the car which you are changing from and to. My choice was dictated largely by a change in intended use.

Drive them all but decide for yourself which best suits your needs (which could be keeping the VX)

However, if like Rudy you are prepared to take the risk, the Audi R8 would probably be a clear winner over all the others mentioned thumbsup

I`ve driven the ExigeV6  some time ago nice very much like a well sorted VX, The Evora just does not do it for me, been a passenger in a couple but never driven one.

The last few posts just shows that everyone has different views on what is and what isn't good. At least some of the views are from personal experiences and not repeats of, or clouded by many of the so called motoring journalists (sorry Graeme, I did say many not all😎) with their hidden agendas. It also applies to VXs and some of the modifications done to VXs, some like them, some don't! Hence, as with all things in life, it is up to individuals to make their own minds up and not be influenced by others (whether others are talking from personal experiences or not should become irrelevant)

Marks stage 4 bag of bolts is the one with soul specially with all the time he's spent on it over the years. Would you seriously rag either of the two modern expensive cars on the track every other weekend ? Could get very expensive even more than the fiver it costs him to run the VX. 😂 Listen to Emma 👍You need both. If you can honestly tell me you had as much fun driving the 300 bhp TT as you do in the VX on the Hoon then your probably OK to just run another fast modern thing and you won't miss the Invisable car 👍😂😂😂

Lol 😄😄😄, as if ??? That would be corruption wouldn't it 😛😛, and everyone is above that sort of thing 😎😎 Mind you, the Germans do seem to have been guilty of certain motoring misappropriations recently I hear 😮😮😮

Err mine has done 4,000 miles since April, including 2 trips to Spa and a day at Snetterton for the VX national.

Of course, on this and on every other bloody car I've ever owned😄😄 So what's your point? Go on then you've been itching to tell us what Lotus stands for 😄😄😄😄, Oooops, sorry forgot, you did so on another thread 😛😛😛 But honestly Kieran, you really are the last one to try to talk about reliability. Remind me, how many abandoned track days you've had 😄😄

Ok £ for £ ALL costs taken into consideration which car would you rag on track every other weekend and have the most fun in ? I still think the expencive daily should be just that and have the fun in a VX if you could have both. Not sure I would be happy driving my £40 k daily on track 😄 And if I did it wouldn't get the stick of a low cost VX incase it got wrecked so I wouldn't enjoy it the same I suspect but you may have more money than me 👍😄 I am on the Friday night talking shite pissed thread aren't I 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍 cheers 👍

All really great comments, been removing the rear clam of the vx tonight for the start of some winter work/checks. I do love working on it I must say.. Keeping the vx is still an option but would only have 20k ish to spend on a nice road car.. Emma says old man's car but I call it a Mercedes cls500. . but I like.. Hopefully 2016 will be a good year
