The jack I got off them was so bad it wouldn't jack! and the handle to pump it up or release the pressure didn't fit.

The guy I dealt with there thought both those things were acceptable and were going to charge me to return it, and said that after inspecting they might give me a refund or would charge me to send it back!

As it was so heavy it wasn't worth the postage bills and despite pictures and details of all its failings in the end , I just put it in a shed. Will throw it away another day.

Looks identical to the one Machine Mart do. SGS's 450KG rating is more than a bit optimistic, but should be fine with any 4cyl block you're likely to want to put on it, just grease up the swivel joint on the mounting plate before putting it on the base frame.

Personally I'd get it from Machine Mart rather than on line, especially since at the moment they're doing a VAT free promo that means it only works out a few quid more.

Yeah, its for a straight six from an MG...to see if I've got all the bits, suppose leave it to the engineers!

To add some balance, I've got an Sgs low profile Jack and touch wood it's been great for almost two years. My machine mart Clarke one gave up the ghost a long time ago...
