:D Simon?? I could take offence at that - grouping me in the same category as Foxy and Big_si... ;) :poke:

Whilst I tend to be called a number of names (especially behind my back...), I'll settle for Nick. Actually, that reminds me of an episode of Red Dwarf - Rimmer: I used to be called Ace at school. Lister: Ace?? Ace-hole more like... :P

Just checking with UKS's Dad to see whether he fancies the 7am wakeup  Otherwise I'd be delighted for you to be my passenger - where are your travelling from?

In fact, Foxy, Partridge, et al, any suggestions for meeting place?

:D I can't get away from that now - I was researching a fund manager the other day and as I wandered around the office I get asked whether I've had any more tickets recently! :P

That was pretty much the final outcome in that article - it was all done and dusted about a month before that was written. In summary: TfL, bunch of cheating thieves, no customer service, no investigation, raised to appeals service, view that TfL have been completely cr@p, modest compensation to cover my time (at £9.75 an hour... ) plus stamps, paper, etc. Bad enough that the van driver parked outside the CC zone, but worse that they couldn't be bothered to investigate... Only took 6 months and dozens of letters and emails on my part... :beat: :9mm:

Received an email from ET today, only generic info. Sign on 8.00 am, briefing typically 8.40. That said, I cannot recall a briefing that went ahead on time. (Anglesey?) I think if you are keen to get the first briefing I would be there for 8.30, there is rarely enough room to fit everyone into a single briefing. The older hands can choose the 9.50 arrival, for a quick chat to the organiser before the sighting laps finish at 10. Seems attractive to me, but forthe sake of a chummy convoy I will get up a bit earlier. Nick, you are coming from Solihull, difficult to think of anywhere convenient to us all other that M6 services north of Coventry?

OK, some basic Bedford info Food, unless the organiser specifically informs otherwise, presume no food. The circuit will probably close for an hour and there are some pubs/shops nearby. Petrol, nearest station is 3-4 miles from the track and not straightforward to find. Palmer sells UL and SUL on site, UL was £1 a litre. (almost seems reasonable now), so arrive full. Drinks, coffee machines on site Accomodation, there are hostility suites with seating, TV, toilets. They are heated, but still chilly if the door is in frequent use. Spectators, while perhaps not 'welcome' will be allowed in, might have to park by the entrance and walk up to the circuit. Passengers can be signed on any time of the day, the organisers will have someone in one of the hospitality areas. Briefing, although it is convenient to be there for the main briefing, it is not compulsory to attend that one. If you are late the organiser will have a personal word to ensure you behave appropriately. Does that answer all the questions?

I e-mailed EasyTrack to get the details...they've sent me a WPS file that I can't seem to open properly in anything. Anyone able to open it?
