Good progress.

One little suggestion, this engine suffers from high IATs if it's tuned up over about 12 PSI of boost, so I'd recommend considering fitting a fwd radiator and installing a water-to-air CC.

Cool, thanks for the info. Plan is to run a standard engine and turbo for the first few rounds and upgrade as I go,

Plenty of work done over the past few months,

Went for a digital dash in the end along with a custom engine loom and standalone ecu,

Ready for fluids this week. Mounted a small 12 ltr tank in 'the boot' and plumbed it down the rails.

Ditched the fly by wire and fitted a cable along with a larger throttle body and machined adaptor plate to marry everything together.

Also made a frame and mounted the rear clam

I have ordered wheels from Braid,

I wanted to move away from the traditional Team Dynamics wheel and got these at a great rate direct from Braid in Spain

15"x8? Guess you haven´t had an answer yet but I am curious to know :).

Sorry to hijack your project thread prallyx, good luck with the car.

Car is ready for mapping....finally!

We had an issue when trying to bleed the clutch so figured the slave cylinder was knackered, pulled the engine and box replaced it and tried again...no joy. Pulled the engine again and found that the slave cylinder was too short. The vxr uses a duel mass and we had converted back to a solid flywheel which is thinner meaning the slave cylinder was over stretched. A mistake on my park but live and learn. Made a spacer (from the old slave cylinder) and now all bleeds fine.

Wheels landed and I think the they suit the car pretty well, intercooler mounted in its rs200 location...on the roof.

A lot left to do, car is making its debut next month at the British and Irish rallycross championship so hoping for no dramas on the rollers tomorrow!

Great work. Looks amazing. Have you got blanks in for the lights or genuine units?

Some VERY late nights got the VX finished for racing back in July (sorry for the late update!)

Made some good power on the dyno once we figured how to keep intake temps down. Need to work on brakes and some fuel surge issues but very happy with  the cars first run and even managed a 2nd in class!

Innovative air to air intercooler - not seen that yet on a VX. I guess with your relative low track speeds that IAT management is tricky.

I like the on stilts stance, makes it look purposeful.

Awesome project, the diversity of human capability on this forum is mind boggling. Are you in the car trade already?

Carpenter by trade so learning as I go,

Still have some bias issues with the pedal box so working on that, have re built the rear calipers along with some new pads etc.

Picked up a set of Olhins this week which should improve the car although some seat time for me will probally be more beneficial than any modification at the moment.

1 more round of the championship left which is in 2 weeks than a winter break where I have a bit of track time planned and also some more additions before the start of next season in March '18.
