So a quick drive in the VX nets the usual results for me at the moment. Engine light on, permanent radiator fan going full whack and to top it off, the ABS light comes on as I pull up.

I've got the OP Com software installed on my laptop, version 150406b if that makes any difference.

I need to buy a USB reader though, I've checked out ebay and there are loads of versions, all with different firmware versions etc. All varying from £15 to £70. Anybody know if there is a certain version I need to be compatible from either the software or the car.

Thanks

Hi Chris, Yeah I was hoping to grab a compatible OP-COM reader as I've already bought a Bluetooth OBD reader but the software EOBD-Facile doesn't appear to work with the VX properly. (iPhone 6 compatible) Apparently OP-COM software appears to do the works....if I can figure out which reader is required

What the budget op com ? Takes a bit of loading of the software as the instructions are a bit Chinese /English 😊 I found it works better on my old laptop with Xp on it but that's not a bad thing my new laptop won't get knackered in the garage 👍

I'd downloaded the software years ago but never got around to buying the USB reader. Seems to boot up fine on my laptop, which is Win7. Fingers crossed I'll find out what these faults are, otherwise I'll book it into Courtenary Sport and pay them both arms and a few legs :(

Use the software supplied with the Chinese OP-Com.  Don't update the software online or the original OP-Com developers will likely disable your Chinese OP-Com (permanently) with their own software, as happened with the first cheap OP-Com I bought.

Thanks for the tip!

As you say, I will use the supplied CD then. Niceone!
