Hi

Being a bit of a petrol head and with the garage empty after selling my most recent toy (string goes something like this - Focus RS, Boxster, Imprezza x 2, MGB, TR4A, Healey, Escort RS, Cooper S there are probably more but age and beer fizzles the grey cells) I really want to fill it with a good VXR. N/A or Turbo although I might have a slight preference for a NA as they are both quick but feel this may be slightly easier to maintain.

Clean title as they say over the Atlantic, provenance and condition are obviously important and something with sensible mods or extras is ideal.

I have a reasonable budget and would prefer to but from the owner rather than a trade sale.

If you have something or know of something let me know otherwise I will keep an eye on the this forum.

Apart from the car looking good with some great reviews one thing that really attracted me was the feedback owners gave this forum in terms of help and advice.

Cheers

Paul

To be picky, They're VX220s, not VXRs. The VXR name was only used on a limited run of turbo models.

jonnyboy has a couple of VX220s in the for sale section. His business depends on his reputation here and in the Elise community, so he's a good starting point.

The mgb gt. was great, only 4K miles when I inherited it but with too many other toys some years the longest trip was to the MOT station. Would cruise at 70 with its over drive box quite happily and actually handled reasonably well. If I had a big barn would have kept it. They look ridiculously narrow compared with modern cars as they had no crumple zones!

Try and get along to a meet, then get a passenger ride in an NA, TC'ed, SC'ed car and see what you think. Most owners are pretty generous with their passenger rides :)
