Well after 120k miles and a having done around half of them I thought it about time to make the big decision. Sell it? Let it gently decline? or spend some money on it and do the never ending list of little jobs - and a few big ones.

Eventually decided you only live once and it's time to invest.

On the face of it and having been washed she looks ok. Still turns heads and kids point at it!

Basically, she is beginning to look tatty in a number of places and deserves some love.

Sooooo

My mini project includes:

- Full cosmetic sorting including re-spray where necessary and  blow over when not

- Fit new Fez light covers

- Have seat bolsters sorted by DtT

- Install DRL in place of the 'fog lights'

Car will be off the road for a month and hopefully back in time for the Peaks meet.

I'd say it looks like it has been enjoyed... a lot like the patina that Tut's profile picture had.

I've always been a believer cars like this are meant to be enjoyed and driven. It's been the victim of s couple of drive off parking dinks too. As for the sides the paint damage was a result of removing the vinyl protection. The way I see it is if every four years it needs a spray and tidy up then I'm happy to pay for that and enjoy it more in between. Looking at it in a garage and occasionally polishing it can only make you smile so much😏

NPC is flat out on other projects mate, we had to sub contract this job to Cosmetic Autocare in Northampton.

Rest assured Rob that Cosmetic Autocare were carefully selected and assessed to ensure they met the exacting standards of the NPC. Jamez can therefore sleep easy knowing that it'll come back fcuked up and a right mess.

Sticking with primer wallet couldn't do the colour change.
