Hello all,

I'm looking to source a VX220 Turbo for a magazine feature. It'll be taking place at Chobham (Longcross) Proving Ground in Surrey on Tuesday March 15, and is an eight-car convertible face-off. It'll be a fairly full day but expenses would be covered, lunch provided, as well as a copy of the mag and picture disc with all the snapper's images (the latter for your own use/the car's history file).

The car needs to be as original as possible (i.e. minimal mods) and preferably in as bright a colour as possible - although darker hues also considered. If you're interested feel free to contact me.

Gents, not a scam. I'm freelance - and Scottish - hence yahoo mail address. You can see examples of my work in the current Classic Cars magazine.

Nev, I know you boys like to tinker with your beasts but that's going some - what's the state of tune?

Ross.

To help widen the net a bit. Will you accept a visually standard VX220 Turbo? Many will have had an ECU remap to free up a bit more power. After that, exhausts and suspension will follow, but visually won't have much impact (if at all)

Cheers, Chris S1.

Whipping Boy, yes that'd be fine - visually standard works.

I've also contacted Plans Performance, and it's going to contact a few owners. I can use a dealer car but I prefer to have an owner there on the day to talk about what it's like to live with, and also they get a full copy of the photographer's images for their own use/the car's history file.

Get hold of a copy of Classic & Sports Car from May 2013 and my (now ex) standard tubby in Coral Blue is in there. Save yourself the hassle of doing it all again. Described as ''animalistic'' by the reporter.

I've tweaked the engine a bit, it's now a bit nippier than standard. Click on my footer link and there is some info.

Already responded on an identical thread Chris. Unfortunately with Speedline Corse wheels and a Splam grille at the moment I'm a bit far removed from cosmetically standard. And I would struggle to get the time off work in any case.
