Hello all,

 

I'm looking to source a VX220 Turbo for a magazine feature. It'll be taking place at Chobham (Longcross) Proving Ground in Surrey on Tuesday March 15, and is an eight-car convertible face-off. It'll be a fairly full day but expenses would be covered, lunch provided, as well as a copy of the mag and picture disc with all the snapper's images (the latter for your own use/the car's history file). 

 

The car needs to be as original as possible (i.e. minimal mods) and preferably in as bright a colour as possible - although darker hues also considered. If you're interested feel free to contact me.

But there are some properly nice examples of turdos out there.

 

I cant think of any that are standard though

If you want maximum unicorn status try and source a standard VX in Petrol Blue/green. That would definitely grab people's attention in the mag

I know of someone in Bisley, so not far from Longcross, who has an 07 registered standard looking red turbo. Its often parked on their drive. I'll stick a note through their door

Here Lee.  But not sure a Splam Grille and Speedline Corse wheels are standard enough.  I've got a set of original mint turbo wheels but they've not got any tyres on.  And in any case I'd struggle to get the time off work.

Whipping boy, that'd be great if you could. 

 

I almost joined you boys a while back by buying a VXR 220 Turbo, but in the end I stuck with my - alas, now sold - 124 Abarth Stradale.

Best bit about that Morgan, it's wheels and tyres. And boy the TVR has aged badly.

I never quite got the cross eyed look of the Morgan and even with TVR values on the rise those Tuscans are very hard to sell on. I prey this isn't another dull 'Elise Elise Badge Badge' type VX article.
