Roof CAN come off... as I still need to fit with a helmet on...

Comes with soft top if you buy the roadster. Otherwise you just remove the hard top and buy a soft top. VX soft top also fits fine

I seem to recall the Exige having a fixed roof. May have been the S1 so I assumed they continued with this.

S1 is hardtop, can remove it. But will look gash lol. I may send to a body shop one day and get a panel made so I can make it gave a soft top without looking awful But that plan is far away :lol:

Don't know where I got that from then. I'm sure one of the S3 Elise's has a fixed roof, if not I'm going mad.

Lotus don't advise to remove the hard top from the coupe version, as can have an effect for speeds over 140+

I saw that it's to do with the air flow and the rear spoiler. On the rag top version the spoiler is a different set up

I would definitely not advise having it off at 140+.

That makes sense, don't think I've ever seen an Exige on track with the roof off.
