Hi guys and girls. After selling my VXT to fund a family car two years ago nothing quite compares. I'm back on the market to purchase a VXR. I appreciate I may be waiting a long long while but that's fine as the money funding it is close to my heart so it needs to be right. I'm after a (preferably) none painted/blown in example. Mods not keen but so long as reversible I'm happy. Bodywork doesn't have to be perfect but not looking for a smashed/written off one... Just one I can tinker with and slowly bring back to its former glory. Low miles. Good engine. Have been speaking to Jon regarding one he's just took in but I've caught it a bit late and its in paint atm... And preferably as mentioned I'd like one pre paint as I'd prefere a full clam off respray. I know it's a long waiting game but if anyone has got any info on any of the 45 or so left that'll be much appreciated. Thanks for you time in advance. Rich

Good luck finding a VXR, there's been a few wanted posts on here lately. So you can't sort out the paint with Jon's VX?

Tell me about it Rob,

They don't come up often. I caught it a little late.... if I'd have seen it last weekend I would have travelled the 3.5hrs to see it. For me, its a bit of a gamble to ask Jon to cancel the paint job on the basis I was to buy it without seeing it. He's got a business to run at the end of the day so rude to get in the way of his progress.

Gutted tbh. Even got it cleared by the other half!

The wait goes on...

If you're respraying anyway then surely you can still do that even if its been done?

It's only having a front blow over. It's still the same car I don't really understand the position to be honest but hey ho.

I may have mine for sale once it gets minor issue sorted. I do have one potential buyer interested but nothing solid.

Jon, you know me for my detective work, I smell a bit of a bottler...or mouth and trousers...maybe even a troller...there are 40'ish cars available..one is on the market (yours), another may come on the market..the chances of any more is remote

..so why dont you let me take it on the Hoon, get some rash over it, and some turf when I run out of road, re advertise (at same money) but saying it needs a blow paint job and matey has what he is looking for

Job done, every one is happy...

I don't get why your bothered about clam off respray you won't be getting the inside of the clam painted... If your truly after a VXR then surely you would look at one of the few that comes up? And if Jon is selling it then it is bound to be good.

I've never understood this huge desire for VXR220s. May I ask the OP what it is exactly why he wants one please?
