Hello all, What's your Nürburgring lap times? In the Speedster/VX and in any other car. I have not driven the Speedster on the Ring yet, but I have managed 8.53 BTG (bridge to gantry, skipping the long straight) in a Suzuki Swift sport Rent4Ring car. ( With Federal RSR 595 tires and suspension.) Curious what he VX/Speedster is capable of!

Quickest lap I did was 8.03 with a full car and pax. I don't normally time tbh and was a normal quick lap not pushing hard.......was at Spa 2 days later before trip round Europe for 3 weeks so nothing silly That was 325ish bhp DG

Only risked taking the VX around once just to say it's done it and to get a photo, think i just scraped under ten minutes but that was with a couple of yellow flag hold ups and taking it very easy. Rent4rings Swift I know I have done a 8.41 BTG and probably about the same in one of their Subaru BRZ's. Taken several other cars around in the past that have probably gone a bit quicker but i don't usually bother getting tied up watching the clock to much so couldn't say for sure what they did.

8.59 btg in my old silver vx 2.2. Then 8.39 btg in a Nissan 350z. I'm over there in 3 weeks in my newly acquired 2.2 sc with rsr's tyres so if I can knock another 20 seconds of that I'll be happy.

Turbo with 260hp, driven quite hard... About 5-6 laps max before the fuel starts to cut off in long fast left corner areas. No idea what times i did, but would have loved to know.

I have done 10 laps there and I'm happy to say I enjoyed it and the one lap I noted the time for was 11.30ish. Not really arsed about having done it fast, I had fun and came back alive, win win

Wow, that is seriously impressive! The pro's do 8.38 on R888's! I would have thought the VX was faster than the Suzuki, as it seriously lacks HP, especially going uphill in Bergwerk.

Yeahthat I haven't been for a few years but I did 8 years on the trot a long weekend each time, must have driven 250 laps of the place. Can close my eyes and do a lap in my head, but I didn't get anywhere near some of the lap times mentioned here and this is with a stage 4, all I know is that it felt very fast to me in places and I am glad it was all incident free, bar the rare, odd slightly hairy moment that serves as a reminder to not get carried away. Wonderful place (without the idiots on tourist days).

Theres a lot of BS surrounding laptimes I dont believe most of them.

We we were there one year with an iffy forecast but decent local conditions so the place was deserted and I timed a couple of laps. In the NA it was about 9.30 thats with a decent amount of experience out there and knowing the track pretty well.

My preferred stat is about 120 laps with no incidents.

My preferred stat is about 120 laps with no incidents.

Now that's is the stat that counts!

When I first built Nipper up some years ago, I was invited to take the car over for a closed magazine/tv event with professional drivers & journalist etc. Apparently one of the drivers there had Elise/VX experience and thought something like 7m20 was viable in Nipper with him at the wheel. Personally I'd be scared stiff to get on it with all those punters (including myself!) zig-zaging around on a public day, not to mention my complete lack of knowledge of the road.

I'm taking my mini (classic, 36 years old) in August, I'm expecting a solid 12+ minute lap time!
