Anyone no what and who makes the disc aboveDont get ebc ultimax discs. They look nice but are heavy and have very small ventilation vains in the discs.
Ebc on the bottom.
I use gulf rf1000.
And currently i use drilled and grooved discs just like your pic, (not the same make tho) and they have never cracked, im not saying they wont but ater a lot of trackdays and 20k+ they are still perfectly fine.
Are These Discs Any Good?

Can't tell if it's drilled, but if it is, it might be the Vauxhall "cross drilled discs" that were a factory option as they had properly big vents. And were reassuringly expensive.

rc6 pad are really abrasive at low temps which is probably why they feel great but they will kill your discs pretty fast really.

Hey all,
I recently had my vx supercharged. I'm really pleased with it, but now feel I need to work on improving the brakes, especially for track use.
I already have Pagid pads and a decent brake fluid, so they stop well, but tend to get a bit hot after about 5/6 laps.
I thought maybe just putting some drilled/grooved discs up front would just help my current setup. I like the look of the Elisparts belled discs, but can't really spend £300 odd at the moment!
Has anyone used these:

If so, are they any good for just adding a slight improvment over standard discs??
Or any alternatives? I've read about 308mm but don't really want the added weight..
Quality plain discs are fine for race use.
If you are over heating your brakes, ducted air cooling is simple to arrange. Braking technique is also important. Don't ride the brake pedal.

Are you using RS14's? A few of us seem to have pad transfer on standard discs with the RS14's, which causes the rumble after a few laps. This was improved for me by moving to grooved discs. I swallowed the hit and went for the EP bells rather than find something cheaper.
I get this with RS42's. First had it on the way home from the peaks meet and it took me ages to figure out 1) What is was, 2) that its no problem. I must have stripped and inspected my brakes 4 times that week.
It sounds horrible but doesnt affect the braking performance, can make it go away with a couple of Pagid spec (from hand book) "reconditioning" braking events.

Afternoon all,
I was hoping to pick this back up, as I had a Snetterton 300 track day recently and problem was worse now I'm SC'd!
After about 4 laps of hard driving (not riding the brakes, braking as late as I dare), the noise starts (buzzing noise) but the pedal feel is still firm, then If I push through it and do another lap or two, it starts to loose a lot of bite and the pedal starts moving further to the floor.
Back in the pits for 20 mins and it's fine again.
As a recap, I had recent uprated fluid (by Steve in Daventry) and Pagid RS14 pads.
I do, however, have relatively cheap standard discs from a company that's a small local shop (un-branded), so I wonder if the disc material is just getting too hot?
Can someone recommend a decent pair of standard or grooved discs that I can try and see if it solves it??
Thanks,
Jonathan

not really a problem, just use standard type discs and swap them when you do your pads.
You'll get more than 1 set of pads out of the discs but the discs are so cheap it doesn't matter.
If you've got nice (expensive) alli belled discs this might be more of a concern
6's will create way more dust, but if you clean your car regularly it'll be fine. I don't and it proper caked at the base of the TD spokes. Hit it with some acid wheel cleaner a few times and the gunk came off but paint is fine below.
5's are your best bet from CL if dust is an issue, still great braking with fine dust that cleans easily.
