All Exige cup cars come/came with baffled sumps.

What are they baffled about?

Word on the street is that quite a few mk3 Elises have died on track due to oil starvation. I know the Exige has a different engine but you would want to be sure wouldn't you.

Red is good.

Just seen that video posted by wright stuff, glad I have chosen to get ZZRs, also, that guy looks like he knows what hes doing and in a cup version, but hes over 4 seconds slower than my average in the VX220!  It seems I may have well wasted my money!

Martin S

ps Goodwood is my local so know it very well, its also the only circuit I have my times for.

Yeah probably. i've long held a slight (and probably misguided) prejudice that they don't deliver the pressure in time to avoid damage.

I'm not convinced he is that quick. No doubt though, the VXs are going to be virtually impossible to beat, other than at the long tracks like spa. And even then my stage 2 SC managed 3:05 there which is pretty quick by all accounts.

If its dry and i don't dip under the 3min next month, i'll be a bit disappointed.

Just having my trofeos fitted so we'll see what they are like when we are next out together.

I think you may be right JG, as every time I drive the Exige I think how the hell have we been going past these things for the last few years but, to be honest,  the one make of car that has been coming past me as well in the VX  on track days, has also been other VX's driven by some of the rabble  on here, and that, I don't expect that to change.

Martin S

ps but, I'm loving the Exige.

Surprised to see its being supported on the shear panel (or the supports underneath)..

Side question - could you bolt an Exige V6 subframe and suspension (using those lower wishbone brackets) to a VX chassis? Random I know, but looks very similar..
