Pretty sure I read the silver surround (which probably means the VX full stop) screens are no longer being made. You're stuck with either a black Elise/Exige one or trying to salvage the probably scabby surround from yours.

I think Ricky Evans supply the glass and Essex Autosport mould the surround onto it. It's worth asking if you can choose your colour beforehand.
If not, just wrap / spray it silver. You could be the first to go that way

£300 all in for a heated screen and surround sounds like pretty good value.
Bet fitting is a total git, though.
Wrapping the surround in silver is no hardship, though.

I don't think the £300 includes the surround, that's just the screen.
EA buy these from RE and add the surround and sell them on.
That's my understanding of it anyway...

I had a heated windscreen fitted by them last year through insurance - it was nowhere near £300, but apparently it was still cheaper for the insurance than a standard windscreen
I had the option of surround colour, as they said they did them themselves, but this ended up being the thing that delayed the fitment by over a week.
Ended up garaging the car for the winter so haven't actually used it yet...

When you say 'them', do you mean Essex Autosport?
Do you know how much your insurance company paid?

Hi, I work for Autowindscreens and may be able to help. I did the screen for Manni on his yellow VXR last year. If you can bring it to Leicester we can definitely do it in our fitting centre, if not I no longer look after the Stoke area but can have a word with my colleagues who do if you're looking for someone to come to you and see if its possible. I recommend bringing it in though ideally. Either way you will need to make sure the 2 bolts for the front clam in each door shut are able to be undone plus the 2 in the top of the bonnet shut. If you want to discuss further give me a call during office hours on 0116 2629616 and ask for Renny as I don't come on here that often.
Renny are you still in the windscreen business
