Have had a good look around the forum about where the Sensor is, but cant find a picture or diagram anywhere. Could someone please point me in the right direction.

2.2 engine does not have one, the 4 stroke phase is determined by crank sensor and ion sensing by the coil pack more details here ; http://www.speedster...entatie/csi.pdf

Fuggered coil pack, most likely.

I had that code when my tmap got disconnected.

So maybe could be temp sensor in inlet pipe?

Fuggered coil pack, most likely.

If it is the coil pack, I have spare and live in just over the boarder in Warwickshire. You're welcome to try it.

I had this after I got caught in a downpour, dried coil pack, spark plugs wells and all the electrical contact bits inside the rubber spark plug boots (3 parts in each boot, push out easy with a screwdriver) and all good. Zero expense.

If you find the cause, let us know, so we can update the codelist.

Ok, I have the original coil pack. I took it off as I had bad starting problems and it cut out when hot. The new ebay coil seems to be throwing up this code so will go and swap back and re test. Will update you in 10 minutes.

Have you got a cheapo replica coil pack? They've certainly been known to cause the error.

What the techmeister says.

Chinese knockoff coilpacks have poor ion sensing. (usually throws P0340 in that case)

OK, OEM coil back on and have reset faults on ecu. Will take it for a run and see if shes faultless. Still poor starting though.

Get a used coilpack. Maybe also check plugs.

Crank position sensor is an arse to change, but I managed to get hold of a second hand one delivered for £7 from eBay, so a cheap fix if its that. If you can't find one I have a spare.

Hi Dan, yeah I think it's the sensor. :( Would be great to buy your spare if you still have it by any chance? Mike. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
