Hi Timmy, I will also have a standard one available soon as I am treating myself to an MMG updated intercooler. To my knowledge the MMG one is the only uprated intercooler available and there are two versions - one for stage 2-3 at £625 and another for stage 4 and above at over £1200. You have no chance of a second hand one as I have been looking for years. Kind regards, Jon

not that I think having a bigger pressure drop is a good idea with a much longer intercooler and you still have the same amount of airflow through the air scoop , but if you must go bigger I/C, then Uwe Regelin who is a respected tuner in Germany vx-performance is better than UK offerings imho ;

this is used for his stage 2.5 map ,  Stage 2.5 for Speedster Turbo: 261PS 451Nm

the problem with all of these is they do not come with a ram air shroud and seal to channel airflow and a negative pressure zone behind the exit.

Thanks guys for the reactions! The build will be with a Z22SE with a power from around 260 hp.. (T3/T4 Turbo) Im not looking for a super fancy intercooler, just somewhat cheaper or second hand. The OEM Intercooler is that one enough for the job? Or better take aftermarket like Tibby's suggestions? Im also putting original Turbo ears on the sides and I also could make something so the air goes only through the intercooler I think!

If Rob can get it to me before next Wednesday, I can bring it to Zandvoort on Thursday/Friday and pass it on to one of the Speedster guys, if you're not there.

Suspect Lee can do the same with his one, as he's going to be there too.

20 pound is not much! If the Intercooler is up for the job for the 260 - 290 HP range? Then please bring it to Zandvoort! I'll be there :D

290?????? do'nt know....
Dbilas also use a tiny (audi) intercooler for it's 300hp Z22SE turbkit. (bottom picture)

Posted Image

The oem z20let intercooler is probably not much bigger than the Dbilas one...
I suggest u go for an uprated bigger intercooler when pushing the 290 hp range....
