I've compared some stage 1 compcams (NA) with stock cams for the Z22se engine.

I put the same sprocket in its defined location (by the eccentric slot) for both the OEM and Compcam cams and looked for the cam center line (max lift) . I made a mark on the sprocket for each cam.

I've found that my compcam intake cam center line is 2 teeth late from the OEM intake cam. 2 Teeth is more than 31 cranck degres.

As the OEM intake center line  is set at 116 ° , it means that the comp cam center line would be set at 85° (instead of 110) if you use the indexation.

The exhaust compcam cam is ok.with only 1/2 tooth of difference in line with the - 103 (OEM) and - 112 (Compcams) figures for the exhaust side

In short: You should degree your cams and not trust compcams

I know the Comps can deviate a few degrees, but that is crazy far off spec...

I assume you measured the comps correctly with the right sprocket identification mark for in- and exhaust, as your numbers are correct for the OEM cam specs...

You now used Saab gears and dialed them in to correct specs?

I normally use the Saab sprockets and vernier the CompCams to the spec sheet.
