Personal opinion of someone who started this Harrop business, don't chase the numbers it will never end and you will just end up spending stupid amount of money, just enjoy it As Arno said Bye

Cat Cams 4603114 are similar to compcams stage 3 NA

Anyone considering fitting them to a Harrop engine will need liners or a GEN 3 block, unless you feel lucky

Which are the gen 3 engines while I'm there 😊
Technically, the Gen 3 engines are quite different beasts (Google 'LTG engine').
The best / most advanced Gen 2 engine is the A20NFT with the sand-cast block / head and Di / VVT etc.

FYI: Since last year (2011) - GM stop making the original LNF block to cut tooling cost, it cost money to keep the casting tools/block to produce the LNF block, so GM decided to stop producing the original 2nd Gen LNF block and use the 3rd Gen LHU/LDK block instead for new LNF engine production, since the 1st [LSJ/2.0] & 2nd [LNF/2.0] Gen block is almost the same block as the 3rd [LHU/LDK-2.0] Gen block but with better casting materials and an improved engineering design [since there is known/documented porous [LSJ/LNF] blocks out there].. any LNF engine produced since August 2011 are now using the LHU/LDK [3rd gen] block
A20NFT is GEN3 block

There seems to be a lot of confusion on the interweb about that.
The A20NFT is a Gen 2 variant, but I guess from a engine construction perspective its the 3rd revision of the Gen 2 engines.. So its a Gen 2 Rev 3 block

Besides the sandcast 2.0 turbo engines, there was also a batch of LE5 2.4 engines made with the strengthened cast-in liners. 88mm bore for the win.
(There's also a guy on th US forums who sells high strength steel liners for our engines. Must check if he has those also available for the 88mm bore, so you can upgrade cheap (gen 1/2) LE5 blocks.)

I wonder if my LE9 (LE5 with some changes to run E85, and some minor improvements) bottom end was like this. Its a 2012 produced engine.
Saying that, the LE5 got weaker with age (e.g. forged standard rods replaced with weaker cast).
