Hi, I have I feint ticking/clicking at low revs since supercharging my car. Just audible behind my right ear. Has anyone else had this happen and is it something I need to be worrying about? Cheers

Nothing to worry about just a bit annoying 😠 mine was noisy after s/c conversion - removed cleaned through with brake cleaner aerosol ( put temporary 12v to open valve first ) and loads of bits of carbon from the canister came out ,been fine ever since☺

Cheers Jim, it is very annoying. Sounds like when I was a kid and I used to put a playing cards between the spokes of my bike 🙁

Is it easy to get to and remove?

Should be able to get at it through drivers side wheel arch. Hoses are held on with a couple of clips you will need to pry or cut off.

Yep its accessed via o/s arch + side vent I would have replaced with new but was told they're NLS , probably off some other make or model, agitating the valve while blasting brake cleaner through did the trick Without being a granny please be very careful with brake cleaner aerosol and an energized solenoid for obvious reasons. NO SPARKS !

Mine did this after the SC was fitted to, wouldn't call it feint in my case though! Replaced the Evap valve with one from eBay and all fine since. Through the wheel arch as others have said, I couldn't get the original clamps off so cut the hoses and used jubilee clips. Here's what mine sounded like before: https://youtu.be/XXsKAL5_f1s

That is loud, sounds like a bloody woodpecker in there. Strange that it seems to have done it after the sc conversion for a few people. More vacuum created or something I suppose. Will change mine over once it arrives.

Gents, lesson learned post SC install. Evap solenoid in NA version was mounted to engine. It was quiet.I moved it to the upper triangular brace during the SC install. Very noisy, like a woodpecker. Moved it back onto the engine, cable tying it to the engine mount. Noise gone... Looks like thoose engine mounts to a great job of supressing the noise!
