Budget? Mileage? Condition? Colour? Age? Blah blah blah.
More info on your requirements will help your search and might enable us to point you in a particular direction.

Theres a silver one on ebay at 6700 BIN that looks a good buy. Higher mileage but you'll struggle to get anything smart under about 8500

You're lucky to get any non cats under 8k now... And if its well looked after, with a few mods and clean more like 9k+!
If its under 7k, non cat, expect issues...

No bother, cheap ones do come up. There's a difference between what they're worth and what they sell for sadly.

There's a difference between what they're advertised for and what they sell for. You've been looking since at least July and, yes, cheap ones do come up but maybe you're seeing why they're cheap.

You get a smart one for 7500-8500easy
Agreed - Loads of cars come up between £7-£8k. I have seen a few minters go for less than £7k in the winter months as a private sale. But they dont hang around long!

Yeah what I'm hoping for, earlier on in June there was a very smart red one with about 45,000 miles, two owners, FSH for about £6,500. Think there was a few rough bits like stonechips to the front (expected) and tyres were a bit low & not the best make but a bargain. I would've gone for it but I don't like red cars and I think it sold not a few days after he listed it on Autotrader.
