Had my pre cat removed today at my local Hi Q (top bunch of lads) Took the car for a quick spin this evening, feels a little quicker, did a hand timed 30-70 thru gears and it seemed to be .2 secs quicker :D Anyway, got a hillclimb tomorrow so i'll be interested to see if I can get a faster speed trap time than my last outing. I'll update over the weekend. Jamie

Hi Jamie I tried my local Hi Q in Aberdeen this week to see if they would do the mod - guy looked at me like I had 2 heads! Never mind, after much phoning around, managed to convince a local garage to do the work next Thursday. Couldn't believe how reluctant the other garages were to help. Will be interested to hear what you think of the mod after a few more days living with it...

Can anyone recommend somewhere in/near Reading where I can get this done?

Has anyone spoken to Regal about doing the pre cat removal.

I'm also in the Reading area and think its about time I lost the pre-cat. I had work done at Regal before but Southampton is a bit of a trek. Has anyone had any permanent problems since removing the pre cat?

I've just sent Sinclaire's an e-mail asking whether they would be able to do it, and if so, how much. They're based in Romford, Essex - that's not too far from Reading (well, closer than Southampton anyway!)
I'll let you all know if/when I get a response.

Jim
