Old news on the lotus fourms. They had a live test video of it round the lotus track.. I'm not sure it will be that much quicker.. ideally wait for the 400

"shoutier exhaust" ≠ "track day kicks" Looks a bit of a minger with all of the Nismo style red accents and the canards. ETA: Still, I guess that leaves the door open to the next special edition which will probably be another thousandth of a second quicker around Hethel, and have gold highlights and gold laurel wreath decals, if not the JPS logos.

So:

2017 = the 380 2018 = the 400

2019 = the 410 2020 = the 410 Clubsport 2021 and beyond = The 410 stiching and stickers special editions.

Lotus will just have to make the gearbox stronger..

Think Lotus does not make a 380 hp + set up on the exige. They do'nt want to add a chargecooler on the exige like the Evora 400. They want to keep the concept like it is now. For more power and keep the weigth the next step would be a TVS 1900 charger (the same SSC sells for this car) When a TVS 1900 is added, the power/torque will be to high for it's gearbox. So a strengthed gearbox would be needed. So, that brings me back to my first sentence again..... What will happen? Still shaving the weigth off and improves 'things'..... Maybe i'm wrong..... Do'nt know....

Indeed, the good PR is now at JLR for her sins.

I personally think the Exige S3 is a really handsome car already, it seems a shame that the marketing wheels feel it necessary dawb it up in colourful tack to attract the bling brigade.

 

I guess selling a sports car on the merit that it is very fast simply isn't enough
