Lauren told me Saturday as it was on facebook. Sadly it was Scott, the guy who just acquired a stage 4 turbo black one and lives our way. It was his first track day in it.

Haven't heard how bad the car is but hes ok, which is good news.

Not a great time of year for a stage 4 tubby. At least he is OK. Is he aware of this thread?

Come on people, what is the point of this speculation? I crashed my stage 4 at Oulton and it had absolutely nothing to do with boost.

Lets just be thankful he is unhurt instead of trying to pin blame based on zero information.

Lost all brakes apparently, it happens. I lost mine for no reason at all just the other week at Snetterton, and they never faded again the rest of the day as was something to do with brand new pads , tight fit initially etc we guessed.

Glad to hear he is ok, cars fix far easier than our aging bodies I lost it at druids a few years back on October track day.......on a sighting lap! So had the pish taken but while in the stg 4.5 nothing to do with boost and just cold wet tyres and over corrected on understeer / oversteer and got full fat tank slapper for 720 spin 😊. Very lucky to just miss the tyres and just minor mistake and a passenger after that, was more caught out due to not going quick at all and just taking the track layout in....fail The vx220 can catch you out so quick and such a small window to correct, keeps you on your toes for sure through the winter DG

Not sure it was fair to post who it was openly on the forum unless the owner has agreed.

Hi guys! I'm the.unlucky sod! Was a great day, the car was flying, I was so impressed, had no signs of the brakes playing up, then thenlsdt run of the day, coking up to paddock hill at about 110, brake pedal down and absolutely nothing! I changed down a gear to try to slow down a bit, then cut the inside of the corner over the grass and apex and try to aim for the exit of the corner at the bottom of the hill, but with the speed I was carrying I went into the gravel and that was that! Damage to body work was prettt bad, mechanically I have a from near side track rod end and wishbones bent. Need to strip her back and have a look at the chassis! Fingers crossed it's not damaged, if not, time to rebuilt! Thanks for all your concern, but thank the Lord me and my passenger were untouched!

That must have been terrifying. Glad you're all OK. Sounds like boiled fluid. Sometimes you can get them back by stamping on them a few times but not at the forefront of your mind when approaching gravel / Armco at crazy speed I'm sure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Normally get a warning from the brakes the corner before - do you remember feeling anything odd?

glad your Ok Scott, terible as it is to damage your car, you are more important than the car,I boiled my brake fluid first time on track with my vx so perhaps this is a cautionary tale for new owners to make sure they change the fluid before going on track, very disconcerting that the brakes failed completely with no fade or drop in braking performance before complete failure.I did at least get some inkling of loss of braking performance prior to fluid boiling.
