I have just fitted a 24" Bosch aero wiperblade and it missed a patch in the middle of the screen. My old eBay special aero blade was fine so I took closer look.
The Blade when stopped in the middle of the screen revealed the problem. The blade was being squashed above the wiper arm connection which was lifting the blade below the arm off the screen.
If you look at the wiper arm end it bends down towards the screen which the pivot on the Bosch wipers can't accommodate. So I filed the plastic clip on the wiper blade to allow a larger range of pivot problem solved. The blade now lies flat across the screen yay.

I found the same issue when fitting mine. As you say, filing a little material of the end of the clip does the trick. I used the Bosch areo with integrated spray bar (meant for a Jag). This seems to work a lot better than the lotus kit.

It's for the S type Jag. Bosch AR 608S. They only come as pair, only one is 24" so I ended up with spare to fit the misses Astra passenger side, but once you have the spray bar you can swap it onto a normal 24" Bosch aero.Might try one of those next time. Which jag?

I bought a pair of standard wipers for a Renault Master van. They come with a spray bar, or rather block, already fitted. Probably cheaper than Jag or Lotus simply because of the brand! Again come in pairs, one for the VX, the other for the Elise. I think they were about £20 Inc delivery.
