To give an update on this. I can definitely get them made, but there's a sting in the tail. Minimum order is 500 units 250 left 250 right. Exact cost is to be finalised but would be circa 110 per side plus postage. Would be stainless steel inner so pretty much fit and forget. Only issue is shifting 250 sets. Thoughts are that I would be stuck with them for the next 10 yrs so not sure if I can progress. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

I doubt anyone in the community has the resources to sit on ~£50k worth of stock. Did you manage to identify the OEM supplier of was the only option to start from scratch?

Spent a bit of time looking into options on having these made recently. Have found a supplier that would be willing to make 95% of the seal and I could make the end cap and bond it or find a way to re-use original end caps. Won’t be 100% OEM but a darn site better than the ones most cars are running. If we decide to run with it, they could be supplied via MMG as a pair (you’d want them to match I guess).

Anyway, before I pursue this any further, I’m trying to work out if the selling price would be worth the investment in tooling and time. Realistically, what do you think a fair price would be for a pair? Hint: Joe - £5 wouldn’t swing it.

We have also been looking into this. We have an OEM sample of a lotus seal with a company in Germany which they say they can copy. We haven’t got as far as quotes yet. MOQ is 250 pairs though.
*IF* they are at least OEM quality with stainless internals I think we’d be looking at around £100 each.
