Staying at the Burj Al Arab? The Address Downtown was a great place to stay until the fire last year (don't know if it's now rebuilt) Water taxi to the old town Ski slope Beach bar at the Hilton Jumeirah (our favourite one over 12 weekends a year for 4 years whilst in Jeddah) 40 minutes by car to Abu Dhabi and Ferrari World. (Nice roller coaster) Avoid hotels near the Port, red light district😄😄 (you'll be thrown in jail after 20 lashes)

Heart attack. Hotel I stayed in had anything you could want to eat. And you could eat as much as you wanted.

Openly kiss your boyfriend in public.

Pretend to be a foreign worker and try and leave without the permission of your employer who hasn't paid you for the past year.

Not as good as it used to be. Too over developed. Wild Wadi is fun if you like water parks. Just car spot Lee. Over indulgence is Dubai's middle name.

I assume avoiding the cesspit altogether is out of the question?

Yup. Gonna be a project I'm accountable for in life support teams. Get to go to all the best places  São Paulo 2x last year, starting with Dubai this year. Egypt is likely again, Germany, Italy etc.

Out of choice that is probably a better suggestion .   For us it did provide sanctuary at weekends with a little more freedom from the sandpit of Jeddah but in reality it is a very false and soul less environment and, unfortunately now more strict than Jeddah as they try to re establish their identity

Was plenty of that going on when I was there, now your GF and that is a different story.

The nightclub in the Crowne Plaza is worth a visit especially on cabin crew go free night.

Plenty to do for kids. Not in summer though, too hot. Safe, clean, friendly and lots to see and do. Beaches, waterparks, malls, old city, entertainment etc. All in English. Not cheap at current exchange rates.

Thank you. I'll have a look at accommodation.

Exchange rate is a real kicker, isn't it?

Better weather was one of the Leave campaign's key promises, so Butlins should be a viable option in 2017.

Or just book it on the day it is not that busy, make sure it is a clear day with no sand flying about.

Butlins is all full up with you EU types coming over here now that the £ is so cheap.

We're raking in so much cash from you lot we can't take any holidays right now.

It's brilliant. Should have done Brexit years ago. How's the saving up going for the bail outs for Greece and Italy? Hope the piggy bank is well filled!  :drink:
