I go full throttle down the hill in 5th to the base of eau rouge (as much as I dare) then squeeze the brakes hard under compression, grab 4th and throttle up the hill. The kerbs are really flat so I try to drive kerb to kerb to kerb. It makes an enormous difference to your speed on the straight as Foxy will confirm when I was passengering with him. I was hitting just under 135mph two up in the VX but it does 145mph without a passenger. Not bad for a plastic brick! I enjoyed going out with 5oc too, interesting to see his EXTREME use of the kerbs which I don't do enough of and it straightens the track massively.

Hats off to Simon for letting me thrash the tits off his Evora in exchange for being taxied there and back!!
 
If you ever have the opportunity to go, do it!  Eau Rouge separates the men from the boys and also can coat the underpants!

The lotus cup Europe racers are around 2:45 for an 2-11 or similar. The v6 neared or under 2:40. But they are race cars, with harnesses and don't care about the time and cost to fix them or get them home.
