I'm offering up for sale my supercharged VX220
My car is HPI clear, 2001 with a 'VX' specific number plate. The VX currently has 83700miles and this will not go up by much, if at all, as the car is garaged for Winter. MOT until March'17 but i will put a fresh MOT on the car(at the asking price)for the new owner and give the car a service.
Spec is as follows:
Stage 2 supercharger conversion running on OBD tuner dutch ecu
3.1 pulley giving approx 260bhp
Dual pass chargecooler mod and Celica GT4 CC pump
VXR Milltek silencer
Timing chains replaced last year by Chris-UK with genuine parts
Gaz monos, few Months old ,nearly £1000 worth
New LUK c20let clutch and new LUK slave cylinder,fresh GM gear oil
Poly engine mounts front and rear, recent stock side mounts
Recent discs and ferodo ds2500 pads,braided hoses and fresh fluid
ABS unplugged at hubs ,common mod as VX ABS is lethal,but can be plugged back in for MOT
Wheel bearings replaced last year using uprated bolts
All ball joints replaced with Eliseparts ones last year
Eliseparts track rod ends and both inner and outer tie rod ends replaced last year
Lotus sport yellow ARB

Turbo wheels with almost new Goodyear Eagle F1 195F 225R
Turbo ears,spoiler and splitters ,ears were very recent so not in all pics
Rear diffuser and vx220 logo exhaust heat cover
Turbo updated roof seal ,with water drainage cups
Interior retrim comprising black leather and red stitch dash, sills,binnacle and centre console.
Turbo seats in good condition with very minimal bolster wear, regularly treated with auto glym care cream.
TAT fire extinguisher bracket and in date 2kg powder extinguisher.

OBD tuner interface to allow you to connect your laptop and datalog or map the car.
Spare oil housing rings
I have serviced the VX myself in my ownership using quality oil and parts every 5k,it does not require any work and is ready to go.This VX has been enjoyed as a sportscar should be, it has done many drives in the Dales and toured the Highlands of Scotland too.
As with any used car there are some bad bits, when i got the car it was wrapped in orange vinyl and this came off mostly fine, however there are a few bits of paint damage which i have pictured,they are only visible close up but best to mention them. Other than that this VX is reliable and drives very well.It is an appreciating asset as VX220 values are rising every year.I am only selling as i'm struggling getting in and out these days and want something a little easier for the larger gentleman.

Please no test pilots . I'm willing to listen to reasonable offers but i won't be letting the VX go for a silly price, if you are serious about buying then you know what these cars are worth.
The car is advertised on Gumtree,Ebay and the org facebook group, but i would rather it went to an enthusiast hence the cheaper price on here.

it's a nice honest car, it's not mint and has a couple of bits that would benefit from paint, but mechanically it is great as Chris_uk will attest to having driven it and worked on it. If it doesn't sell by April then i will have no worries taking it on the Highland drive ( mr2oc's version of your hoon ).
