Brilliant track day! Finally got the balance right on my car so it now handles like a Caterham instead of understeering like a pig

My gopro didn't get very good footage, but here is a lap with Mr Foxy in the car:

Good save!

Need to turn on spot metering on the camera tho' so it exposes for the outside and not the inside of the car.

Hope you made it back ok David. I was in the Silver SC car filling up with fuel at the same time as you when you were leaving.

James - nice driving. Looks like fun! What did you change on your setup to feel happier? Batman - I love the sound of your car. It's the engine all Elise's and derivatives should have, it just sounds how a sports car is supposed to! Looked like I you weren't hanging about either.

Me too, although I probably won't be in a vx... I have another lotus derivative which should have a similar sound to yours...

Cheers. One change was 205 front tyres instead of 195, this helped overall front grip. But the main change was the steering rack raiser plates. This got rid of the bumpsteer and has completely transformed the car. Before it was always turning in and hitting apex well, but as soon as I tried to get the power down it would push and the tyres would start howling. I'd say they are absolutely essential if you've lowered your car and I'm annoyed it wasn't mentioned when my car had ride height + geo setup.

I did think about 7 derivative, keep for a year and then sell it as cost neutral. But it would be a total pain to take on tour round europe.
