Hi guys a few months ago I made a bar to help me jack my vx220 up out of some old scrap in the garage, I put a photo up on the Facebook page and got quite a few requests to make some to sell. I was sick of having to crawl under the car and take the under trays off to be able to jack the back up, then have to struggle with two jacks to get it to rise evenly.

So I finally got around to designing one that looked better and was stronger.  I’ve designed them for use with the low profile aluminium type jacks like this one https://www.machinem...inium-racing-j/ as I’d imagine this is the most common amongst us vx220 owners, it will work fine with other troll jacks you just have to centre it properly.

This allows you to be able to jack the back end up in one go without removing the under trays. Then if you need to you can put axle stands under the chassis rails just in front of the rear wheels, once the jack has been removed the under trays can easily be removed now the cars at a reasonable height. I’ve found it takes so much hassle out of any job done under the back end, I’ve also found it useful at track days making it easier swapping wheels and tyres. With the jack fully lowered there is approximately 20mm clearance on my car and it has been lowered to 110mm at the rear so there should be plenty of clearance on most cars.

They come with nylon stoppers on the ends to help locate the jacking bar onto the bolts going into the chassis also to protect the under tray.

I have made a batch of 8 to start with to see what sort of demand I get for them. They will be sold on a first come first serve basis at £70 + £10 P&P. please PM me to get your name on the list.

Hi guys the response to these has been really good but unfortunately they’ve all gone pretty quick. I’ll get on with making some more soon and let you know when I have some.

Looks good, proffesional finish. How difficult is it to get on the correct lifting point, much faffing? Anyone who bought one want to comment? Assume these would work for Elise boys too. Price is a little high for me right now but can see understand its low production hand made so will take time.

I'd love to hear some feedback from people. I don't think it's too much of a mess on to line up as it should fit over the bolts. And Jason thanks for understanding the price, these are quite time consuming to make but the main cost is the powder coating. I hope these help people and make working on them a little easier.

How much would it be without powder coating?

Haven't used mine yet but they certainly look like they are made for helping reduce a difficult job!
