Ha, so they're still making you do all the leg work?

As they put it, they have no outlay to claim against the stupid bitches 3rd parties insurance company so they will not get involved.  But TBH with how long they have taken with stuff I think I will get it done faster myself!

Crazy.

Well look on the positive side, you can add 'Claims Consultant' to your CV along with all the other roles you've had to take on to get this far!

If they start being arsey you could inform them they can either deal direct with you or a claims management company. Worked for my daughter 👍

I wonder if you could advise the police of an attempt at insurance fraud?

Take a bow that man!!  Well done, must be the longest running insurance saga this year.  I've followed the twists and turns with interest and have felt so hot under the collar at the way they have behaved.  Slap them with a huge expenses claim and when they wriggle on that one tell them you will go public with all their lies and deceit!!

So........

Rang the other insurance company.........

ME: "I understand you have accept liability for the accident."

THEM: "No sir, we have had no contact with our client so we are going to repair your car without prejudice."

So this still fucks me over as the accident will not going down as NON FAULT!

On the bright side tho I can take the car wherever I want to get repaired and submit them a quote for repairs.  I'll be off to Nissan with it I think.

Almost there now, I reckon another month and it will all be over!

Quick update.

As Stafford is a small town and I saw her and the car park up in the local Maccy's, she has since had her car repaired and even got new wheels.

Car has been to a body shop and they now have all the details to get it repaired etc... I will update once I get it repaired.

Are you going to go to the ombudsman to investigate her false statement and the 'without prejudice' offer (which seems to be her insurance company covering their back)?

Is it worth my while doing that?

What I might do is get the car repaired and make sure it's all paid for etc... then post a note through her door or knock on her door and tell her insurance company needs to speak to her  just to see what happens if she gets in touch with them.

I am still sceptical about the whole thing, I wonder if I pushed my insurance company if they would take it to court assuming if I reject there offer.  Might make a call tomorrow when I'm not bust to find out.

I'm not a horrible person but I want to see justice done if she's in the wrong and committing an offence!

Whatever you do NEVER even think of going round to see her.  That will end badly.  You could refuse the offer and ask for a fault admission, you could just get it fixed a draw a line.  I like to see justice done but don't destroy yourself doing it.  :grouphug:

Just realised I never updated this.

Last August, they agreed to repair the car without prejudice as "They were unable to get in touch with their client", I mean WTF! You can't get in touch with your client? Bet they would if they needed money off them!

I ended up swapping the car with a "mate" for a Z4 as he was skint and needed something more than 2 seats, he took it with a unpainted bumper, total cost to me for the new bumper was £80, I never bothered getting it back from the insurance company, just wasn't worth the hassle!

2 months after swapping it the engine went bang, very glad I got rid of it :)
