I have seen a few cars with a brace that goes from the base of the gear lever surround up to the dash.

What is this all about?

Thanks

Cosmetic only. Some love 'em and some (techieboy ) hate 'em. They offer no structural bracing.

How bizarre.
It's a stripped out light weight car, why add an option like that???
I take it, it's a fancy light.

Well, it's actually a very un-fancy light. The three LEDs really are LEDs but they've had the legs chopped off. The light source is a really crap capsule lamp. Utter madness!

In time trials they were proved to make the car 4.5 leptons quicker around the Nordschleife so well worth it imho.

Ok, now I can see the point of it.

Just need one to stop her slapping me or punching my shoulder when we are sideways.

It would effectively double his speed then. A worthy investment for the purple projectile.

Buchos makes a carbon fibre style centre brace that can house guauges if you like that kind of thing...

Pretty cool bit of kit I think.
