I have converted my high beams to LED and they are a huge improvement with around a 150% increase in the light output.
I would be cautious about converting the low beams though as the original lenses are not designed with an LED light source in mind, you may well have issues with beam patterns and end up dazzling oncoming drivers, that's why I ended up only doing my high beams.

This. It's also why the std projector retrofitted with xenon bulbs is lacklustre.

OK - Thanks for the info both.
Always found that the projector lenses cut off the HID's with a nice sharp line to avoid any dazzle, but never seen an LED headlamp dispersal patterns in real life so will give it a miss. Might do the main beams in future though,
