It doesn't say that's the maximum available from a K04 at all. They can be pushed further, I've seen them run over 320bhp. More importantly the graph highlights where the K04 starts to run out of flow and where a K06 would be better higher up the revs

Water meth kit is imo the easiest and cheapest way to cool IATs. Brand new kits can be had for ~£350, well worth the investment.

so according to the graphs , the k04 can only get 330 torque and 289 bhp

strange that on the same dyno , many years back in 2007 , the same turbo was making 360 torque and over 310 bhp

both turbo have the same CHRA and same exhaust turbine

something very wrong with this

Ha ha, the usual "selective marketing" to get the punters to spend spend spend. :(

There is no doubt the K06 will puff more than the K04 variants though, and keep IATs a bit lower when not maxed out.

The key problem with IATs is that everyone is pushing these titchy little turbos to twice the boost they are efficient at. Hence the IATs shoot up. If you want low IATs then the best way is to install a big(er) turbo that is actually operating at the flow rate and PR rates that it is designed to.

Won't know for sure until I get it back on track but I've fitted the bigger 1" ARB now so that should certainly help.

From what people have said and my personal feeling I think it's more of a setup issue which can be resolved by experimenting with tyre pressures and damping settings. As I said i'm very pleased with the overall setup, think it just needs fine tuning.
