The wife's really interested in buying this. I don't know anything about Mercs apart from a while ago the build quality was not good. Just need to know good bad or indifferent. She's test driven it and liked it, I've not done so yet but I'm likely to be looking at it from a different perspective.

Cheers Chris

i have the 250d version. goes like poo from a shovel, handling is terrible. no steering feel. build quality really poor and car will creak all the time. put it this way i'm not having another one. also depreciation is horrendous due to large discounts given when buying new.

Churchs have a reasonable reputation but that is well over priced.

I've been looking at SLKs and that's what I thought, in fact I thought most of the cars on their site were well overpriced including the red VX n/a.

The mini gp2 they have is very reasonable, I drool over it everyday....Although I'm sure it started at 20k now down to 15k. So yes there must be room to negotiate with them.

She tried that and concluded that it was a bit too hardcore which I knew it would be. Looking at more of the same now but it looks like the Churchs one has been kicked into touch for now. Thanks for all your input.
