For the first time in ages I have car envy.... My brother has just bought this TVR Griffith with an LS3 swap, over 500BHP depending on which map you select. It underwent a full body up restoration from Topcats racing, the attention to detail is very impressive, it looks as if the bay was built for the LS3 and everything feels nice and tight which is more than can be said of most TVR's.... It's to be expected though when you look at their line up of racing cars, one of which is a Mosla!

It's not often I see something that makes the VX feel positively tame but thing thing does, and I want one! Haven't really seen what it can do yet because there hasn't been a dry day but it's going to take some taming. Trying to convince him to get it on track to really learn how it handles. Might struggle with noise limits though!

This video really doesn't do it justice, when you switch the map to "burn lots of fuel mode" it's insane!

After having several LS engined company cars in Australia at HSV i do love a V8!  I occasionally wonder how much work it would be to get one in the back of a VX with a transaxle gearbox.  That TVR is fantastic!

Sounds great, those cars are really a lot better than people give them credit for. Last summer we bumped into a group of owners in various souped up TVRs at a service station. They followed us (we were both in VX220s) onto some B roads and it took a couple of miles to shake them off. Both Josh and myself were quite surprised how much we had to pick our skirts up in order to lose them.

This thing is in a different league to most TVR's including the Chimaera we just sold.

The original owner who commissioned the build was quoted as saying it made his mates F40 seem positively pedestrian.

Well the F40 was quite heavy (1.4 tons), so not surprising. Power to weight is key of course. What does your brothers TVR weigh, a moderate amount less than that I'd guess?

Not sure on the exact weight but it's around 1000kg I heard him drive off from work earlier and it's hilarious, can hear it for miles! 😂👍🏻

How long did it take for Jules to shake you off in his standard power NA?

Not long! I decided to to slow down on a very narrow road, as several of them belted down it.
