Probably save quite a bit of weight actually...

Bolt = 20 grams

upright + callipers = 9 kg

Bearing = 3 kg

Wheel + tyre 10kg

a few seconds later

lower wishbone and suspension = 8kg

under tray and a whole bunch of fibreglass  = 5 kg

driveshaft might detach = 7 kg

etc, etc

:)

Well, shouldn't have really been surprised but today finally replaced the front HCB's and they were also each 5mm shorter than standard.  Fortunately only a couple of shims each side unlike the large number in the rear.

Wheel alignment tomorrow so will see how it all comes together.

Refurbished rear Bilsteins are a treat, but like other feeds on this topic they do not repaint as part of the overhaul.  Obviously the service in Australia is no different to the UK.  Excuse is that  as a service agent they do not have access to the Bilstein yellow paint colour.
