I did a track day at croft on the AR-1s yesterday and they were fantastic! Had plenty of grip even on a greasy and at times wet track!

I did have a spin on them in the wet but that was down to my driving and not the tyres. I have a few videos which I will post later.

I'm not the most experienced track day driver so cant really give any more detailed feedback then that apologies!

Whilst certainly no expert, i have had various different track day tyres on various cars, 888, 888r. federal rsr, nankang ns2r, i currently have the ar1's and imo you would be hard pushed to notice the difference over the r888r's, they do not give the outright grip but you have to be on the ragged edge to notice that little bit extra the r888r's give. So if your gunning for outright lap times go r888r's.

Hi Jordan, How do you find these for road use? Noisy/droney? I don't track my car, but considering them for dry road use. I know they are fairly soft coupound, but I probably only cover 4K in a year, so not a major problem. Thanks

Having a set of 205/45/16 front 225/45/17 rears fitted on Monday.

Will report back after Cadwell on 10/25th May, not sure which car using for each yet.

Was quite impressed with these yesterday at Cadwell, they were not as good as the 888R's but for circa £180 less its a nice saving if your not bothered about the last few tenths on a lap time.

Were nice and progressive when they break away, did feel them getting abit hot on longer sessions but the car is not set up at all so probably not as smooth driving as could be!

I think we will be using these from now on dependant on how they wear after a few more track days and as long as they remain £150-£200 cheaper than the 888's and Avons.

Good to hear there's another track tyre option. Would be interested to see how they compare to RSRs as I guess they are similar price bracket Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Really good looking tyre, how strong are the sidewalls on these? i have a fairly aggressive set up and currently find the RSRs the stiffest.
