Picked up my first VX today – a turbo from Buckinghamshire.

Purchased from a couple of ace gents. (or so they told me!)

Drove it home (the very long way round) to Manchester and did just over 220 miles.

Surprisingly comfortable – if a bit “crashy” on the potholed roads of the UK. But then that’s to be expected I suppose.

Handles really well – and goes even better. Really pleased with the car. Don’t know why I wouldn’t be of course – I bought it.

Apart from one thing...

Drove home on the toll road (which I did on the way down also) and used the "contactless" pay lanes.

Well tried to...

Couldn’t reach the little black box with my card - even opened the door, took my seat belt off, stretched well out of the car - no chance.

Until the kind lady in the booth appeared and said "...’avin trouble love?".

She eventually "contacted" the card for me. Totally spoilt the obligatory drag race with my bro (who drove me down) in the other lane - although it was really, really easy to catch him up. Ha!

Next job, apart from cleaning the car due to the journey home, is to settle into it for a couple of weeks, get a wing I have bought prepped painted and fitted, start sorting a template for a diffuser and front splitter, and see what else I can really mess-up.

Just looked at the owners handbook – why are there some sticky pages? Tubby love probs!

Just ordered one off eBay.

Should also help with scratching my ankles without having to bend very much.
