Hi all, My names Zee - I'm a new member on here, I've been recently looking for a vx220 turbo - I've read all I could find online and then I found this forum and now I feel like I haven't read anything yet! So coming from luton i've had many vauxhalls in the past and I'm at a stage where I'm trying to get something different out of a driving experience. I love the stripped out feel of the interior of the vx220, the low seating position and light weight body. I just love everything! Looking for a turbo in ideally either Blue, Black or Moonlander grey, would consider anything any colour really, mileage I'm not too fussy about as long as it's still attractive to a potential buyer when I decide to sell - I will be using it a few times a week to and from work (20-30miles round trip) and just be enjoying where ever I can Would love a bit of advise on things to possibly look out for when buying - that would be a great help Thanks

Thanks Billy - that surprises me, is it the ride you're referring to? Bumpy? Costly? I was just thinking I'd get a bit of enjoyment as often as possible! I've got a little run around but I was hoping to get quite a bit of use out of the vx

I'd say if you have one with a half decent heater commuting isn't an issue.

The only issue with commuting in it, I'd say, is getting in and out - especially with the roof on.

The heater might be an issue during winter usage though, that's true.

Yes, that and the car wanting to kill you in any kind of low grip conditions. Most of the time in the UK then!

Lets not even get started on the lack of comfort and road noise.

I used to have an S1 Took a vx220 out yesterday and it was almost comfortable It's all relative , when I approach the car I had my Elise S1 experience In my head (it was original T reg car , most basic of em all) The vx was nothing like it , and I told myself I could use this to commute quite regular , I would keep my daily drive of course, but as long as it's not too Wet I would definitely pick up the Vx keys on my way out the door.

Absolutely. Just presenting some balance in the pros and cons to any prospective buyer.

Rarely do VXers talk about the bad side of ownership. I guess its human nature to defend a decision to buy one ?

Sure you -can- use the VX as a daily, but it would be hateful. All just my bitter opinion of course.

Happy to hate!

Oi  Waspy boy. There is nothing wrong with Luton!  Zee has been on here 5 minutes and you are picking on Luton already.

Zee next time your next door neighbour takes the cove off his, he'll take you for a spin. Your commute has one of the best VX friendly roads in the area, the Lower Luton Road.

You can have my Moonland Turbo if you like - I'm in the market for an Evora.

I've spent £7K on it in three years - if you want to know more just PM me and I'll send the spec over.
