I have been asked by my insurance, i.e. Told to get a cat6 or 7 alarm fitted, was looking and seems there is also a cat 5 with higher spec including remote immobilisation, is it worth it?
Any one had one and recommended companies

Cat 5 & 6 are Tracker categories.
Cat 1 & 2 are alarms.

I have a "Connect and Protect 6" from Vodafone (ex Cobra).

James has a Tracker 6.
Both come with web and iOS/Android apps etc for locating and tracking.
