So I feel I've come to the end of the VX road and it's with a heavy heart that I've finally decided to sell up.

I bought her from TMS back in 2007 (I am the third owner) and I've had a fantastic 9 years of ownership. With the help of Vocky, Batman and MBR, I've taken her from the original TMS iTB development car to a very well sorted track orientated VX. MoT until April 2018. She does not have a dealer service history as TMS weren't able to provide one when I bought her but I do have lots of parts receipts. She is not a cat car.

The main spec is

Engine

2.2 Ecotec with Webcon iTBs. (Mapped by Alan Collins at Webcon to 205bhp) Schrik cams, gas flowed and ported head. Raised compression ratio (11:1). Eagle rods and ARP bolts. MRZ lightened crank pulley and balancer shaft delete (Vocky). TMS lightened flywheel. Reverie Zolder airbox and Cosworth filter. Full 2.5” Tullett exhaust system with 200 cell cat. Pro Alloy 48ltr fuel tank. Saab sump. During my ownership the engine has been completely rebuilt by Vocky along with replacement OEM oil pump and water pump chains. Mileage 55,009.

Transmission

OEM F23 with bespoke Elite Racing 4.6 final drive and Quaife ATB.

Brakes

Front: AP 4 pot calipers 308mm discs, Pagid RS-14 pads. Cold air feed from foglights.

Rear: OEM Brembo calipers EP Ali bells 295mm discs, Pagid RS-15 pads

Bodywork

Jon Seal Sportscars outer skin hardtop with Exige inner skin cut to reduce weight. In roof NACA duct to pipe air to engine bay. OEM soft top. EP Motorsport rear wing with raised uprights and bespoke clam fitting, TMS carbon rear diffusers, MBR Front splitter. The front and rear bonnets are attached with catches and all the hinges have been removed. Black soft-top include, in ok condition.

Wheels

2 sets of white Team Dynamics 1.2 wheels 16/17, one with Toyo 888, the otherToyo R1R

Suspension

Nitron NTR 40 Hoffman spec dampers.

Front Eibach 500lbs springs with MBR spec helpers.

Rear Eibach 700lbs springs with MBR spec helpers.

Ride height Front 110mm. Rear 120mm.

Full suspension refresh shot blasted/powder coated wishbones/uprights with Nitron Racing bushes, EP balljoints, EP 1'' ARB, EP bumpsteer kit and EP toelink kit.

Interior

Re-upholstered OEM seats (by Frogman) with harness bar and 4 point Schroth harnesses. The driver's seat has had some of the base padding removed to increase headroom. Seat belts and fixings removed. Radio delete. Dash top alcantara covered. Steering wheel: OMP removable. Pedals: TAT upgrade. OEM Stack dash with gearchange light. OEM heater, resealed and working.

The bad bits

I have had 2 accidents but the car is not an insurance write off in any way, only cosmetic damage. The rear clam has been completely resprayed and both cills replaced with brand new OEM parts. The front clam has 14 years of stone chippings and trackday damage although it doesn't look too bad. When the cills were replaced the bodyshop decided to spray them after installing and didn't mask off the underside of the car so there is some overspary over the underside.

Drop me a PM if interested. I'm located near St Albans, Herts

Price £13,500 ono. Please don't waste my time or yours with ridiculous offers or requests for parts.

I will attempt to upload some pics or I can email some if needed.

Sorry to hear you're selling it. Lovely red, looks good when I saw it in your garage.

I bet this is absolutely fantastic to drive with that spec engine and gearbox.

Credit to you for building such a car and good luck with the sale.

Dan

Thanks Dan. Yes, she certainly goes well. I've had very positive feedback from Mike (Cliffie) and Matt Bentley after they've driven her.

She's still looking for a new home. Not so tech orientated now that photobucket doesn't work so happy to email pics. £12,500 or an offer if you like 😊

Be patient mate, definitely worth the money when the right buyer comes along. Just a niche car so it can take some time.
