My tubular 4-1 manifold is just a push fit into the 4-1 collector. There is no seal. Ive always wondered if I get noise & air escape from it?

The two silencers I have, similar to yours are also from Tullet. They have been repacked 5 times, that's almost every 3 track days! I think much of my problem is the Courtenay mapping which tends to flush copious amounts of petrol into the bores on a regular basis. The resulting heat mullers the packing. My smaller first silencer is always empty. It's a waste of time & really needs to be bigger.

It's funny, many years ago on this forum, everyone was interested in growly, angry sounding exhausts. Now, it's all about trying to get the exhaust quiet enough for the track use.

The large shift from stage 2 to stage 4 and 5 machines over those years has triggered that.

250 bhp you could even do with a 2". Now with 400 it's another ballgame.
