So I guess I took this dimension for granted...

The difference in track between and S2 Elise and a Vx is about 10-15mm (Elise is wider) but I figured this would be down to wheel/tyre combo rather than subframe/chassis. Yeah, no.

The following is the sheer support rod from SSC's rear toe control arm kit. Meant for an S2 Elise, everything else fits up perfectly, but the dimension between the chassis mounts is clearly quite different meaning th sheer rod need to be cut-n-shut to fit the VX. Not a big drama, but a stumbling block none the less

And best of all, their not all the same. My s2 111s needed shorter toe link rods as with the normal s2 length I couldn't get enough adjustment to achieve the right toe settings. Thankfully I bought them from Gaz so he sorted me out with a shorter rod set.

I assume the brace does not go directly onto the bearing?

theres a conical spacer machined onto the the back surface :)

spoke to SSC, theres a Rover version which s 44mm shorter, but obviously the VX is somewhere in the middle.

cut-n-shut time

cut-n-shut time

Indeed, should be easy if you can find/machine a tight fitting insert inside the bar cut.
