Morning all,

Hi I am looking to buy a VXT for my weekend / play car. So i'm taking a nosy around and seeing whats about. The site looks great with lots of info.

Can anyone tell me a few things to look out for? Or do you have a buying guide? Ideally after a low(ish) mileage VXT (colour not really important and either standard or mild tune (Exhaust / remap etc)

My background in toy cars are Clio V6 mk1. Escort Cosworth and Evo 6 RS. All of which were tuned cars. I am located near the Staffordshire / Cheshire border. If anyone is close by and wouldnt mind me taking a look and pointers from your vehicles please drop me a pm that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and hopefully a new owner in the very foreseeable  future :)

Steve

Start http://www.vx220.org...buying-a-vx220/

Otherwise treat it as a normal car purchase

Contact Jon Seal for car stock

Good luck

Buyers guide here: http://www.vx220.org...yers-checklist/ Forum is full of friendly people and useful information, I registered here about 6 months before buying and was in a really good position when the time came. http://www.lotushardtops.com/car-sales for mint cars (jonnyboy on here) or message turboluca on here to see what he has, tends to have cat c/d cars or ones that need a little bit of love but the cars are always fresh MOT and good to go.

I am not far from Uttoxeter with a stage 2 turbo.

What town are you nearest ?

Defo a VXT you want ? Usually the supercharged crowd have descended by now telling you thats the car to go for!

N/A will get you into trouble pretty quickly as well. Makes for a good road car as it's not too overpowered and you can pretty much use all it has. If you're coming from a turbocharged background you may find it hard work though. Whichever you get, you'll love and hate it in equal measure. Cheers, Jon.

Thanks for the response guys. I've emailed Jon Seal already, so in the right direction. Yeh will still have to be VXT i think. I'm orignally from Newcastle under lyme but now in Nantwich Cheshire. But have family & friends in both areas so always backwards and forth.

Drive all the versions of the vx: n/a, s/c and vxt before you make a decision. They all have different attributes and perform differently.
