So with some spare time on my hands this evening. I thought I'd try and see what's what with my silent alarm. It's been like it since I bought in November. It appears to arm and work just like it should (hazards come on etc) minus the noise.

Search is my friend, and as is the way, I'm not the first person to ask about this. So I've been and taken the passenger headlamp out and look for potentially a badly corroded wire.....

Now admittedly I don't really know what I'm looking for, but to my eye it looks like a whole load of nothing. Is my alarm indeed missing altogether? (Why it would be I've no idea)

Also from inspection looks like there was an old connector for the fog lamps that has been spliced into, does this suggest an upgrade of some sorts?

And there's a dated sticker on the headlamps themselves from 2010. Don't know what this could suggest?

You should be able to see it pretty obviously but you are missing it the 4 pin flat plug also plugs into it.

Headlight dates and dodgy bonding of the fibreglass headlight bracket to clam suggests it's been in a front end crash

Yes, the red and yellow connector in pic1 goes into the siren so it looks like it's missing

I disconnected mine the other day with no intention of putting it back in. Sell you a siren if you like. :)
