So moment of truth....

The fronts, kind of fit!!

They clear everywhere apart from the calipers just catch the spokes at the front!

Nothing a 3mm spacer or shaving the caliper won't solve!

Will check the back in friday.

Went 8.25" Et 20 4x100 Would have been better in 8" really and with a wheel without the dish to give more caliper clearance but I'll make it work! Dan

Yeah the lip of the wheels and the fact that the spokes are petruding inwards. Team dynamics should give more clearance than the wheels I Have Chris. You going 15x8 et20 all round?

Just a thought Chris, you can go for a good drive in mine when we sort a date for map to see what you think to the smaller wheels if you'd like? Dan

Another option Chris;

You can get the Speedline wheels in 15" 5x110, had them on my old vx but can't remember the widths of them.

Got them off a corsa and need 20mm spacers but fit fine.

Thanks James, I'll post plenty of videos etc once I've got it sorted and get on track a few times. The caliper paint is foliatec brake caliper lacquer, toxic green. Was easy enough to do so will see how it holds up on track. Dan

Put the 3mm spacers on the front and back and it's 'about' perfect clearance wise.

Just needs a tiny bit shaving off the front caliper and one of the plugs for the speed sensor needs relocating at the back.

I need to lower the rear down but will get it fully Geo'd once finished.

Quite like the look of it to be honest, doesn't look as silly as I thought it would.

I noticed a significant difference in the way the car felt after fitting the light wheels, and I'm guessing those will be even lighter.

I'm well impressed........... Can't believe you managed to get the missus to cut the grass, you will have to tell me your secret :)

I'd be concerned about the wishbone angles and associated CV boot failures if you lower it right down.
