For those of you not on FB or if you missed my wifes post...

We are moving to HK on August 10th. We've both had enough of working in education in the UK and have been discussing working abroad for sometime. Linda has a bagged herself a good job over there for a couple of years at least. Me.......I'm doing my best not to find something! :D

I will be attending the National as my swansong and if someone wants to but a nicely sorted 300bhp + VX bring along a few quid at the weekend and you can take it away with you!

Seriously, I am really in two minds as to whether to store for a few years or to sell and re evaluate my car situation when I get back. Everytime I take it out for a drive the decision gets harder.

Either way it's been a great journey with you lot over the last 14 years starting with Thorneys Yahoo Forum days!

3 VX's (2 written off) dozens of trackdays, many euro trips, 2 French Frolics, Le Mans 24 hour 5 times, 10's of thousands of pounds on the rattly little plastic toy, lots of nationals and made some good friends.

However, come August it's just public transport for me

Thanks all thumbsup

Hope you like high humidity and proper Chinese food

All joking apart, I'm sure you will have a great time there, plenty of interesting places to visit & live. Always fancied living there for a while but had to make do with numerous business visits when working for Hutchison.

What a great opportunity Paul. I've visited a handful of times but not for over 20 years. Its a vibrant, colourful, noisy, smelly city. And its great fun. Best of luck to both you and Linda and looking forward to seeing some pics on here or facebook of your adventure. Happy flightings!

Congrats and good luck. There cannot be a worse place in the world to teach than the UK right now. It is about time someone really took the powers that be to task for the wasteful meandering and disrespectful treatment we have had to go through in recent years. Good luck... I am sure it will be ace!

Congratulations!

We lived there for 3 years and loved it! Great location for exploring south Asia.

Importing a car can be very expensive due to taxes.
