I'd be more than furious, a disc exploding and you conceivably hitting a tyre wall or worse at 100+ mph is beyond unacceptable. These will be on sale tomorrow, the day after and the day after that! thumbsdown

I will whip the wheel off later tonight. However the outside pad has loads of meat left. Yup that's my thought tim

They look badly designed ..no room for expansion of the disc .

The ones on the first pictures are of no harm at all, but of course the last one is... oops :D

Usually it is due to a bad disc to pad combination. I'm sure you could find much more information on Seloc because the first factory 308mm AP'ed S2 exiges were in a TADTS mode

This is shocking.

Never had a moments issue with OE like std spec disks and they last for ages. So I'll live with the extra weight if this is the alternative thanks.

All the problems with warping and cracking seem to be with the fancy drilled and vented ones ?

Tony VXR 56 had OEM drilled discs (before he sold his car). A predominant tracker he complained of significant brake judder. When I took a look at his discs both of the fronts were really badly cracked just like this.

I wonder if the lack of floating bolts and the bells is a factor. Steel and ally expanding at different rates etc.

If the material is a problem then they shouldn't be for sale imo

It's the temp range the material operates over. It's mega hard for longevity but this is often only the outer case. If you overheat it then you get cracks like this through expansion beyond its range. This is why there's no warrantee. AP can't dictate the temp you get your brakes to. Get some temp sensitive paint and do some testing. You may need some cooling ducts.
